Happy Holidays Friends and Family! Once again we have opted for the environmentally friendly website this year. Here's a brief update on 2013 for Olivia, Andillon, Bob and Daisy.
Olivia is a book reading monster, not reading per se but definitely consuming all things books or bootchies as she says. She likes to dress up in costumes, change pajamas (every ten minutes), eat cookies (something that was high on her list when we asked her what she was grateful for over Thanksgiving), roll and tumble in gymnastics, and dance to whatever music Daddy likes to play. Her musical tastes are becoming “very refined.” In fact, the first gift she wanted from Santa was a Hello Kitty Guitar – and yes, they do exist. We will let you know if we decide to go on tour.
Bob is busy teaching and has been working on a project he's not supposed to be talking about for the better part of a year. It's been a lot of fun but he'll be pretty glad when it's all over! When he's able to talk about it he will :)
For Daisy, 2013 brought relief from persistent allergies. The dog has the sneezes! The vet finally figured it all out and she has once again become the happiest dog ever. Plus, she now lies down and shakes hands. We think she taught herself.
Andillon still sends up smoke signals from the salt mines of UC San Diego. She’s also venturing into making homemade sugar scrubs and knitting again. One of her biggest achievements of the year was getting back into yoga. Yay! At UCSD, she helped research a gift that came in at $100,000,000 – that’s a lot of zeros! It will help transform stem cell research in San Diego and hopefully save lives too. Woot woot! Best of all, we all found out that Papa Hackney is in remission at age 89! Way to go Papa!
